Honey & Dandelion Goat Milk Soap with Tamanu Oil

Great for any skin type. Really nice, creamy lather and leaves skin feeling silky and smooth. This was one of my first recipes and has remained pretty much untouched since. It is really one of my favorites! It smells clean, sweet and a little earthy.

There was a time when I thought dandelions were a blight in my yard. That all changed when I met this crazy old neighbor of mine who taught me all of their benefits! I have since create my own little "weed" garden. It is great because it takes so little work!

This bar was made with all the parts of the dandelion muddled down into a tea and then strained and mixed with local raw honey. The two together make this a seriously skin benefiting soap! I add Tamau Oil at the end of the process, making this soap wonderfully moisturizing and healing. Perfect for extra dry, damaged or irritated skin.

Dandelions juice is a great detoxifier, diuretic and antioxidant. Which makes is effective in treating acne. The Vitamin C in dandelions speed up the healing process, thus reducing the visibility of scars and red inflammation that often accompanies acne. They are highly alkaline in nature and exhibits powerful germicidal, fungicidal and insecticidal properties. It can be used for the treatment of itchiness, eczema, warts, athlete’s foot, ringworm and other similar conditions without any side effects. Dandelions are rich in antioxidants, providing anti-aging benefits, thus reducing the appearance of fine lines, age spots and wrinkles around the eyes and lips. Besides nourishing your skin, this herb helps tone and firm up sagging and unbalanced skin.
